Terms of service
Effective October 16, 2026 · Version 2026-10-16-draft
Draft. This text is waiting for review by Rhea's lawyer and may change before it is final. It is published now so that the owners Rhea works with, and Intuit's reviewers, can read what the app does with their data.
These are the terms for the Rhea app at app.rheafi.com (the “app”). They apply to the owner whose stores Rhea keeps the books for, and to everyone that owner lets into their organization in Rhea. By using the app you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app. How Rhea handles your data is in the privacy notice.
What Rhea does
Rhea provides automated books, labor and per-store profit for multi-store owners. It reads your point-of-sale (POS) sales and time-card data, bank deposit lists, your bookkeeper's QuickBooks reports and the files you upload, turns each store's day into balanced accounting entries in Rhea's own ledger, tracks labor, and shows profit by store and for the group. When you connect a QuickBooks Online company, Rhea can push a copy of those entries into it.
Rhea is software, not an accountant. It doesn't give accounting, tax, legal or financial advice. Your bookkeeper and CPA remain responsible for your books and filings; Rhea gives them entries to check and a report of where its books and theirs differ.
Your organization and account
Everything you bring into Rhea belongs to your organization in the app, and only the people you let into it can see it. Keep your sign-in private and tell us at once if you think someone else has it. You are responsible for what happens under your sign-in until you do.
Your data
Your data stays yours. You give Rhea permission to store it, read it and process it only to run the service for you, to keep the service secure and to improve it, as the privacy notice describes. We don't sell it and we don't use it for advertising. You confirm that you are allowed to share the data you connect or upload, including your employees' names, hours and wages, and that you won't upload Social Security numbers, bank account numbers or similar details the app doesn't ask for.
Writing to QuickBooks
Rhea writes nothing to a live QuickBooks Online company without your written approval. Until you give it, Rhea works against test (sandbox) companies only. When you approve, Rhea pushes only the entries it has built from your data, each one marked so it is never posted twice, and never changes or deletes an entry it has pushed: a later correction is a new, reversing entry you apply yourself in Rhea.
Other services
Rhea connects to services you already use, such as QuickBooks Online, Square and Clover, with the permissions you grant when you connect them. Those services have their own terms, which apply to your use of them. Rhea reads from your POS, time-clock and bank sources and never writes to them. QuickBooks, Square, Clover, Toast and other product names are trademarks of their owners; Rhea is not affiliated with or endorsed by them.
Acceptable use
Use the app for your own business's books. Don't try to reach another organization's data, disrupt the service, get around its sign-in or limits, or use it for anything unlawful.
A product in its pilot
Rhea is a young product working with a small number of owners. Features, limits and the data sources it reads may change, and we may pause the service for maintenance. If you take part in Rhea's pilot, your pilot agreement adds to these terms and wins where the two differ.
No warranties
The app is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Rhea shows you what it read and what it posted so you and your bookkeeper can check it; please do.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Rhea is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data, profits or revenue, arising from your use of the app. Rhea's total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim.
Ending the service and deleting your data
You can stop using the app at any time and disconnect QuickBooks and your other services from inside Rhea or from inside those services. Ask us to delete your organization's data and we will, except for the records the law or our accountants require us to keep for a limited time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we change the version and effective date above and, for a change that affects your rights, ask you to accept the new version the next time you sign in. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it.
